The August Edit

Even as we bid adieu to August, our inspiration is as vibrant as ever here at the studio. Here’s what Emma and I have been up to this month + a few things that we’re loving, pinning, and can’t stop talking about.

In the Studio

We’re wrapping up a few projects that we took on this summer, and we’re so thrilled to share final reveals. One project in particular is a cute little townhome nestled in Philly. Our client is a soon mom-to-be, so it was all hands on deck to turn this home into a haven for her incoming mini. The moodboard was full of elevated textures, high contrast pieces, and peaceful neutral tones.

Additionally, we put the finishing touches on two other projects and are preparing for the official installation and styling of a project in the Heights of Houston. Stay tuned for the behind-the-scenes!

Inspired By

One thing that’s been on our minds lately: spaces that tell stories. We’re always aiming for our designs to be a collector of experiences and not just a room that’s “Instagram-pretty”. So weve been inspired by beautifully curated corners, with tales woven into layered rugs, narratives hidden in bold patterns, and stories whispered through statement stone.

Think: muted colors contrasted with deep hues; layered styling with ornate details, and the occasional vintage find. All elements that have been tugging on our heart strings lately.

On Replay: ashley benson’s home tour

Speaking of stories, Arch Digest graciously blessed us with a tour of Ashley Benson’s (aka Hannah from Pretty Little Liars) beautiful abode. From the stunning green kitchen to the copper tub, we’re pouring over every detail of this poetic home.

In Our Carts

Labor Day’s on the horizon and our carts are brimming with some must-have favorites. First in line, this candle from Not Your Standard, an absolute chef’s kiss. Infused with smoky santal and warm vanilla, it’s the perfect Calcatta marble moment in the most luxurious scent.

Abercrombie and Quince have also been our go-to for some early Autumn gems. A new favorite pair of jeans for the cooler temps and a beautiful new leather bag to welcome in fall.

On the menu: matcha lattes & mocktails

Matcha lattes have made their way back into our frequent rotation the last few weeks - a perfect August sip. Emma’s go to order? A Venti iced matcha latte with light ice and two pumps of sugar free vanilla - you can thank us later.

And as we wave goodbye to summer, we can’t help but have one more round of our favorite summer mocktails. Any excuse for a cute, tasty chilled drink, we’re taking it. Check out these gorg cocktail glasses - Emma has been pulling these out to elevate our spicy mango margs and it’s definitely a chef’s kiss moment.

In Life: wedding bells

She said yes! That’s right, in between the world of fabric swatches and mood boards, I’m also navigating the chaotic beauty of being engaged and planning a wedding. We officially booked our date for September of next year and just between us, our venue is dripping with European charm. Think: a chateau in France, but without the jetlag.

It's interesting how closely the interior and wedding worlds intertwine. Maybe it's the passion of bringing visions to life or the art of marrying different elements seamlessly. But regardless, my designer heart can't help but do what it does best – curate! Currently being seduced by muted pastels, lush florals, and the prettiest silk dresses.

That’s all for this month, friends — see you in September. Don’t forget to drop your latest inspiration in the comments below!
